The official language of the congress is English. Simultaneous translation will not be provided.
Accreditation is applied for at the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). This accreditation will be endorsed by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) ensuring that the CME credits awarded to the participants are recognized by the national medical authorities who have agreed to co-operate in this European system. EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA).
In Lisbon, capital of Portugal, the climate is Mediterranean, mild and rainy in winter, warm and sunny in summer. The location, in the far west of Europe and overlooking the ocean, makes the climate particularly mild, compared with other European cities. The average annual temperature is 21.5 °C (70.7 °F) during the day and 13.5 °C (56.3 °F) at night. Average annual temperature of the sea is 17.5 °C (63.5 °F).
The Euro is the official currency of Portugal. Currency exchange can be made in most banks and post offices as well as in train stations, airports and exchange offices near major tourist sites.
Liability and insurance
The Meeting Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
