Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group (DCCG)
The Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group (DCCG) is a collaboration between medical disciplines that are relevant for the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer. The primary goal of the DCCG is to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment of patients with colorectal cancer on a national level through the initiation of clinical scientific research.
Grupo de Investigação do Cancro Digestivo (GICD)
The Research Group Cancer Digestive (GICD) was established in 1988 with the initial appointment of Cooperative Group of Cancer Digestive and integrated in the Portuguese Association of Oncological Research (APIO). It had its first meeting on 17 December 1988 in Coimbra, convened by the late Prof. Doctor Gouveia Monteiro, its first President. The Professor JM Romãozinho was his first Secretary. In addition to the activities related to cancer research Board members were part of the Scientific Council of APIO annually elected the winner of the National Oncology Prize. In recent years the GICD has been directed by Dr . Guimarães dos Santos, President, Dr. Evaristo Sanches, Secretary and Dr. Silva Ferreira, Treasurer. in addition to the National level research activities the GICD integrates PETACC (Pan-European Trials in Ajduvant Colon Cancer) which is a Group Association national cooperative recognized by the EORTC.
